Why This Program Is Needed
“Muscogee County has a higher income inequality rate than the state average; with 33% of children growing up in poverty. The median income for Black households is $24,000 lower than the White households in Muscogee County. In, Georgia, male income averages 1.35 times higher than income of women. To reduce the inequalities in our community, we developed a program that supports workforce development training to those in need.
Various resources are available for those seeking to increase their chances of better employment opportunities. We continuously build community partnerships with businesses and organizations to offer constituents the best employment opportunities.

Our objective for the Pathway to Success program is to partner with schools, businesses, city departments, and other organizations who can refer constituents that may need educational training and job readiness assistance. We also utilize various marketing tools as a key to enhancing awareness of our program in the community.
