The College Readiness/Workforce Development Program supports students from the ages of 14 to 21 in high schools across Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Our focus is to support students whose communities are underserved, socioeconomically challenged, marginalized, and/or economically disadvantaged. This program provides students with the tools and resources needed to be ready for college upon graduation, as well as prepares them with job skills needed to enter the workforce.
We work with the students during "Out of School Time", ensuring they remain on track with their academia, take advantage of community outreach opportunities, and assistance with speaking to and visiting college and university campuses. In this high school completion program, we provide supportive services for students, skills training, first-time employment, internships/apprenticeships, and various other resources to help them succeed.
Many talented low to middle class students do not apply to colleges, let alone attend and graduate from top colleges and universities. In underserved communities, students normally lack guidance for college preparation. Parents either do not have the time, between working more than one job, or the education and/or knowledge to assist their child with the college process. Out program was created to help bridge the gap so that students are provided the same opportunities as their counterparts in communities whose resources are sufficient and abundant.
Studies show that children are more successful when they are groomed for college in their early years. This program’s objective was to prepare students with job skills to decrease the drop-out rates in the communities affected by low graduation rates. Obtaining a high school diploma is no longer sufficient for even the lowest paying jobs. Jobs requiring some type of college degree are increasing, therefore, providing students with the qualifications and experience they need through this program is essential for their success. Our goal is to provide students with these same skills from ninth grade through graduation; ensuring they remain on track during high school and get into colleges and on career paths that will allow a better chance at a higher standard of living.

The MOS certification is an industry-recognized program that validates the students' skills in Microsoft Office applications. It allows them to stand out amongst their peers and adult counterparts in a competitive job market. This certification boosts academic performance, prepares them for higher education and opens doors to internship and career opportunities. Students who obtain this certification have a better chance in gaining employment in the fields of business and finance, healthcare, computer science and IT, engineering and more.

For workforce development, we provide them job readiness training, mock interviewing, resume writing, and job placement.
The Myers Briggs Personality assessment, one of the most accurate and sought out assessments in the world, is used to help students understand how people perceive the world and make decisions. This assessment helps them to become better communicators and better leaders. It also connects them to careers that they may be more successful in based on their personality types, and to help them lead more fulfilling lives.
Summer camps, workshops and college site visits will be scheduled for students. Our overall expected outcome is to reach the students in the community who lack the resources and guidance to get into college and become college graduates, but also to provide resources to their parents, teachers, coaches, and principals who will benefit from them having this program.
